Every material carries its own language.
Some stones are valued for rarity. Others for precision. Some for the way they catch light. Others for the way they hold color.
At Gilt Theory, we choose materials according to the piece they belong to.

PRECIOUS STONES

We work with both lab-grown and antique diamonds.
Lab-grown diamonds allow us to focus on precision—exceptional cut, color, and proportion without compromise. They offer a level of consistency that lets the design speak clearly.
Antique diamonds offer something different. Cut by hand generations ago, they reflect a different set of priorities: larger facets, softer symmetry, and a character that cannot be reproduced exactly today. Each carries the marks of its era.
We are drawn to both for the same reason. Not rarity for its own sake, but beauty.
Every diamond is selected individually for the way it handles light, relates to its setting, and contributes to the piece as a whole.
The goal is never to showcase a stone in isolation. It is to create something worth wearing for decades.

PRECIOUS METALS

Jewelry is worn against the body every day. The metal matters as much as the stone.
We primarily work in solid 10K, 14K, 18K gold and platinum. Each serves a different purpose.
Some pieces benefit from the durability of 10K. Others ask for the warmth of 18K or the weight of platinum.

A stone is only the beginning.
The setting, the metal, the proportions, the weight in the hand, the way light moves through the piece—these decisions matter as much as the stone itself.
We believe jewelry succeeds as a whole.
